Lumiere Tintype

This past weekend, James and I headed over to Justine's Brasserie in Austin to finally get our Lumiere Tintypes. My 29th birthday just passed and I guess I wanted something permanent and unique to "capture" my 20s before they're gone for good. These tintypes are very high quality and will last forever. I think of them as our heirlooms. James looks so handsome in his portrait. I'm so glad I got a set of 5x7s. I can't wait to frame them.

Adrian Whipp, the owner, has created his photo studio in a fabulous travel trailer. If you're ever in Austin, I highly recommend getting your portrait taken. He posted on his website that he would be traveling this summer to the Pacific Northwest so he might be in your neck of the woods soon. He said he would be back in Austin this October.

Here's the road trip itinerary. Looks like a blast!! I wouldn't mind visiting all these places.

Next time, we're getting portraits of the pups!

Back in action

Song: "Mess is Mine" by Vance Joy

Last year, my very good friend, Kari, started her new life with her husband, Brandon. As a gift to the bride and groom, James and I offered to film and edit their wedding video. I finished editing it last week and had the couple over for dinner. We kind of had a little premier party. They were very happy with the result. Let me know what you think! I really enjoyed making this video. I've been inspired by other wedding music videos and often think of how I want my own done. Their wedding was so beautiful and I was so honored to be a part of their day.

It has been quite a while since my last blog post. I guess this whole experience made me excited to share something with the world again. I'll be back with an update on my life soon. I'm really excited to be back. I missed this.
