While James and I were in Abilene, we spent some time moseying about downtown. Before we headed back to his mom's I insisted we hit up at least one little antique store. For those of you new to the blog, antiquing is kind of my thing. I totally judged the Google search results by name and decided on Fabulous Finds cause it sounded the most girliest. This place was great! There was this sweet older woman working there and she kindly let me take photos of her store.
I was so tempted to buy that tea set. I'm waiting for the perfect one though. :)
"I roller-skated to your door at daylight..."
An antique store is never complete without candy colored dishes.
They had a ton of these.
Pretty platters
I actually exclaimed, "Miniatures!"
The shop keep, Judy, talkin' it up with James. He's so cute. :)
I found this amazing dress from the 50's that I couldn't wait to try on. Judy let me borrow the office cause they didn't have a changing room. It fit perfectly!!! Only $20. Of course I bought it along with this adorable embroidery and a little surprise for Taylor for her upcoming birthday.
*sigh* I'm in love.
Stay tuned for more adventures from Abilene. :D

Such a fabulous place, love it xx

Very lovely items.
ReplyDeleteI really do enjoy antique shopping. I could spend hours scouring every pile. In Kansas we have tons of them. They can take hours to rifle through. I love that. My husband, well...he doesn't really. haha. Great post.

when i'm old, i'll surely have a giant collection of miniatures! i used to have a ton of tiny tea sets, but i've boxed them up somewhere as i move around a bunch and find my grown up footing before unpacking and displaying them somewhere for good.
ReplyDeletei can't count how many offices i've tried things on it because antique stores never have fitting rooms!
the dress is so lovely and i can't wait to see it on you.
