I finally went to visit my friend Mary last Friday. I've been friends with her since we were like 11 years old. I love this girl and I haven't seen her in so long! I guess that's what happens when you live at opposite sides of a city. No more excuses though. I have really missed her and we have a lot of fun together. She just got married last year! Yay! Her and her husbear, Russ, have 3 pugs and from time to time they foster dogs for the Austin Pug Rescue. They just got Toby last week and when I saw his picture on Facebook I instantly wanted to adopt him. Isn't he cute!? I don't know what he's mixed with. He doesn't even really look like a pug to me. He is the sweetest thing though. I've never seen a puppy so young that was this calm. He just let me hold him like a baby, which is a requirement for all my future dogs. :)
After spending the afternoon at Mary's on Friday I invited her and Russ over on Saturday to have dinner with us. We were planning on grilling a tri tip and that always makes way too much food for just me and James. It was also the perfect opportunity to bring the puppy over so James could meet him/fall in love/let me adopt him.
Ollie and his happy face. :D
Just looking at these pictures makes me miss the little guy. Him and Ollie were playing so well together. I don't know if we're going to be able to adopt him (the adoption fee is pretty steep and we need to have a talk with our landlord) but I'll try my damnedest. He's only 10 weeks old and by the size of his paws I'm guessing he'd grow to about 30-35 lbs. That's perfect!
